While I’m setting up my new project I decided to rework an old one. I created this piece last year and was pretty happy with my first attempt at some photo manipulation. I’m still happy with it but wanted to try out some new skills I’d picked up since 2013. The model is the very beautiful Vicky Hardwidge who I hope to work with again in the future.
The 2013 piece
A stones throw from my house is some beautiful countryside. Yesterday I packed up my zoom lens and went for a walk to try out some nature shots. It’s something I’ve never done before and it was a lot more challenging then I expected. I’m going to head over to the new forest soon because I’ve got the bug for this kind of photography.
Spent ages sneaking up on this little guy, picturing birds is hard but rewarding.
Coming back from my walk I found this guy
I was happily taking his picture when I heard a low growling coming from behind me. Turned round to find this guy giving me the eye. Lets just say my walking speed increased.
Hope you enjoy
Had this idea for ages, it was tricky to do on my own and I’ll probably try again when I have some extra hands.
So first of I’m not overly religious, this image is not a depiction of any beliefs or a slate on anyone else’s. I photographed a christening a few days back and was going over edits. The font (not sure if that’s the spelling) looked incredible and when I was reviewing the images I had to do a quick manipulation. I’m new to this kind of Photoshop work (probably shows) but pretty happy with the result. Fingers crossed I’ll improve the more I do.
So here is a before.
So hope you enjoy, share if you do.
Bombs at 8:45 is my band, myself on Vocals and guitar and my good friend Lionel on drums.
Lionel and I formed the band simply because we were bored. We’d been in bands together before, me on rhythm and Lionel on Lead guitars but this time round we decided to mix it up. I’ve only dabbled as a singer and lead guitarist so doing both as well as the song writer has been a real challenge but a fun one and I know Lionel has enjoyed smashing up the drums!
If you asked us what style of music we play I’d say, indie heavy rock nonsense. B@8:45 was created to learn new skills and have a laugh and that’s exactly what we are doing. For fun I made this poster.
Oh and we will be recording later in the year so expect music at some point.
